SUMMER HOURS
Monday - Saturday: 9:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon - 5:00 p.m.
 1st Friday of month open until 8 p.m.
    (Hours change slightly by season.)

OPEN – In addition to our regular hours above, the Museum is OPEN:

• Christmas Eve - 9:30am - 2pm
• New Year's Eve - 9:30am - 4:30pm
• New Year's Day - 11am - 4:30pm
• Columbus Day

CLOSED – Museum is CLOSED on the following Holidays:
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Day (Dec. 25)
• Easter
• Memorial Day
• July 4
• Labor Day

WEATHER-RELATED CLOSINGS or DELAYS:
The Museum will have announcements of closings, late openings, or early closings on twitter, radio, television, and Museum recording.
• Radio stations: WICH (1310 AM), WCTY (97.7 FM), WNLC (98.7 FM), and WKNL (100.9 FM).
• TV stations: WFSB (Channel 3), WTNH (Channel 8), and WNBC (NBC Connecticut).

ADMISSION*
Children (from age 1) and adults = $6 per person
Organized Groups of ten or more children = $4.75 per person (with advance reservation)
Members and children under 1 are free during our regular operating hours. Please visit our calendar and special events pages for current listing of special openings and closings.

VISITOR SERVICES

  • Baby changing tables are available in both restrooms. A disposable diaper kit is available at the front desk.
  • Strollers are permitted in the Museum's exhibit areas. Stroller parking is also available in the coat room and outside.
  • The coat room is to your right as you enter the museum.
  • First aid emergencies should be directed to staff members or the front desk.
  • Birthday Parties at the Children's Museum are a blast! Have a great party your way by choosing a plan to fit your needs. We have a variety of options, call us for more information and to make reservations. (860) 691-1111.
  • The Museum Gift Shop is located adjacent to the admissions desk in the lobby of the building. Lots of creative activities for young curious scientists, travel toys, puppets, umbrellas, kites, and so much more! We have piggy-bank-friendly items for young visitors wanting to make a purchase all their own!
  • Extra Clothing is available at the front desk should one of those oops moments occurs and you are in need!

DIRECTIONS (Get a map with directions with just a click!)
You'll find the Museum at 409 Main Street (Route 156) in Niantic, CT.
From I-95 (North or South) take Exit 74. Turn right (Route 161) and follow the signs.
Or take Exit 72 off I-95 North. Turn left at light (Route 156) and drive about 2.5 miles.
